With a 1/3rd of season 18 gone Emerge management called a press conference to discuss the season so far. “It’s been a positive start” said team boss Blue Bolt. The former sprinting team have moved up a division into the Zyte and have established a strong climbing outfit, led by Polish rider Fabrycyk Pietryzk.
In the teams second ever tour, first time really competing, Pietryzk scored a 3rd place overall in MR and young domestique Retzlaff also achieved 3rd in the YC and 11th overall. Both of these results would have been higher if not for a very poor prologue Timetrial. If the timetrial had of been removed Pietryzk would have been top of the GC and Retzlaff would have placed top 9.
The team has also set about hiring young English talent in the form of Abner Banks and Ethan Derrick. Both of these 22 year olds are highly talented and if put the work in and train well could be potential superstars for the future. In order to finance these Emerge released 23 year old Vrba who unfortunately reached his peak early, and are looking at selling Vazquez and Hinchee. Also on his way out may be Iuccaro. The experienced teammate may be used as a liteweight in order to finance a move for another younger teammate. There will be a significantly more English look to the team in the coming months.
Alongside these changes it is also hoped Billimoria will continue his training and develop into the cobbler he has the talent to become. Unfortunately with not much support he is effectively riding by himself in these races at the moment.
Aims for remainder of season:
1: Achieve 3 results (35 overall)
2: Train Banks and Derrick to levels where they can assist the team leaders
3: Max Billimoria
4: Continue scouting for top young English riders
5: Get at least 40% of the team English

Nope, just ran out of money to train him at present. As soon as I have enough money his TQ is going up followed by SP... If still hasn't maxxed will continue with CB but this is very expensive :(
